Mendoza: 12-KM River Rafting Tour in the Andes

1.12-KM River Rafting Tour in the Andes

★★★★★★★★★★3.9 · 94 reviews · 2 - 7 hours · from $35Our pick

You’ll raft 12 kilometers of the Mendoza River with a professional Spanish or English-speaking guide, wearing a wetsuit, helmet, and life jacket. Juanpi is one named guide praised for his friendly style. Expect about one hour on the water, plus transport and possible waiting time.

“Activity was thrilling for a beginner. The guide was clear, informative, friendly and lots of fun. However they made a mistake with our booking and had us down for another day so we were not picked up in the morning. They did send an Uber who drove like a maniac but got us to our destination on time. The wait time after the activity to go back to our accommodation was a little too long however we filled the time nicely by having lunch at a beautiful hotel next door and being in nature was lovely and meeting other travellers was pleasant.”

2.River Rafting & Canopy in the Andes Mountain Range

★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 57 reviews · 6 hours - 510 minutes · from $53

Raft 12 kilometers of the Mendoza River through class 3 and 4 rapids, then cross the river on a four-section, 700-meter canopy course. Choose hotel pickup or make your own way to Río Aventura Mendoza, about an hour from the city.

“Het raften was geweldig. Enorm aardige en bekwame gidsen. Het ziplinen was enigszins saai. 3 korte stukjes over de rivier. Je moet daarna ook zo’n 3 uur wachten totdat de rest klaar is met abseilen voordat de bus terug naar Mendoza vertrekt maar je zit dan wel op een mooie plek aan het meer”

Cacheuta Hot Springs Park + Intermediate Rafting

3.Cacheuta Hot Springs Park + Intermediate Rafting

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 51 reviews · 10 hours (approx.) · from $100

From Mendoza, Xnoccio Aventura takes you to Cacheuta and Potrerillos for hot springs, two zip lines, and intermediate rafting. Guides such as Silvio, Pascua, and Aqua have helped make the river section a highlight. Expect about 10 hours, shared transport, and a physical day.

“The rafting was really fun! Aqua is an excellent guide- very talented and fun personality! She speaks English well too. I would personally recommend a longer rafting trip instead of the hot springs as it was the best part. Some of the guides are the current Argentinian champions. Word of advise for fellow gringos- If you are not completely fluent in Spanish you may have a difficult time on this particular tour. The instructions are only given in Spanish and hard to hear when spoken with masks on and given in vans and buses in motion. Aqua did give directives in English and Spanish once we were in the raft…”
